At the heart of Denim, Diamonds, and Diplomas is the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society, a group of passionate student leaders committed to turning leadership into action. By combining academic excellence with a dedication to community service, BLCS creates initiatives that empower others, strengthen our community, and leave a lasting legacy of opportunity.
Who We Are
The Brock Leaders Citizenship Society (BLCS) is more than a leadership program, it's a community of students who believe that even the smallest actions can create meaningful change. While we're dedicated to succeeding in our studies, we're equally passionate about giving back to the people around us and making a positive impact both on campus and throughout the surrounding community.
Every initiative we take on is driven by students, for the community. Whether it's organizing Denim, Diamonds, and Diplomas, volunteering our time, or launching new projects that address local needs, we share one goal: to leave Brock and our community better than we found them.
We aren't professionals or full-time event planners—we're students who care. We bring our ideas, our passion, and our commitment together to create opportunities for others, knowing that lasting change begins with people willing to take the first step. Through collaboration, service, and leadership, we're building a legacy of impact that extends far beyond the classroom.
Our Vision
The Brock Leaders Citizenship Award is awarded to entering students who have achieved exceptional academic success, outstanding leadership and community involvement. We envision a group of passionate Brock University students channeling their strengths to inspire themselves and others to invoke positive change within the Brock, local, and global communities.

The mission of the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society is to unite exceptional students, and nurture their growth into the leaders of tomorrow by fostering their desire to learn, strengthening their character, and encouraging fellowship. An emphasis on academic excellence, leadership development, and philanthropic community service will help us to achieve this objective.
Our Goal
The goal of the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society through Denim, Diamonds, and Diplomas is to transform student leadership into meaningful action by raising funds for first-generation postsecondary students at DSBN Academy. The event reflects our commitment to creating opportunities, breaking down barriers to education, and empowering the next generation to pursue their goals with confidence.

Education Foundation of Niagara
The Education Foundation of Niagara (EFN) is the registered charitable partner that helps make Denim, Diamonds, and Diplomas possible. Through this partnership, every monetary donation is managed responsibly and directed toward creating meaningful opportunities for first-generation post-secondary students.
As the charitable organization supporting our initiative, EFN receives the proceeds raised through Denim, Diamonds, and Diplomas and ensures they are distributed as bursaries and scholarships for graduating students at DSBN Academy. Their partnership also provides the charitable oversight and support needed to help us maximize our impact and continue empowering students to pursue higher education.
